St.George Russian Orthodox Church

Participating in Worship notice

Under new arrangements from Monday 1 June 2020 certain restrictions have eased: all places of worship, of all denominations can now open for re-arranged worship or small religious ceremonies of up to 50 people as well as the minimum number of people reasonably required for the service. But capacity must not exceed one person per 4 square metres including staff members.

According to our venue capacity, we cannot permit 50 people at any one time having 4 square metres of physical distancing between parishioners inside the church. In this connection in order to attend the liturgy please call our churchwarden Elena Salnikova and check the date and time available for participation in the service.

Contact number: 0478415821.
You can also submit your request via email: stgeorge.carlton@gmail.com

You should not enter the church if:

  1. you have any cold or flu symptoms (such as fever, cough, runny nose, or shortness of breath)
  2. you have been advised to self-isolate at home because you are a close contact of someone with COVID-19
  3. you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19 for the last 14 days

People attending a place of public worship will be required to provide their name and contact details when they enter so that they can be used for contact tracing.

Breach of orders made under the Public Health Act 2010 is a criminal offence and attracts heavy penalties.
